João Brasil collaborates with the most interesting Global / Tropical Bass DJs / music producers based in London: Isa GT, Bumps, Moroka, Murlo and Rob Pollinate. This is part of the Rio Occupation London.

Since the start of this 2012, I knew the fact that Joao Brasil and I were playing together at Festival Centro in Bogota was no surprise and a palpable sing that the global bass revolution is happening all around the world.

When I say global bass I refer to all of the folklore influenced new electronic heavy bass music. Which I consider myself part of, alongside the other amazing artists that Joao invited for this project.

It makes me very happy to collaborate with Joao Brasil’s Global Bass Britannia! You can listen to the whole EP here:

Got invited to come and play for the Land of Kings Festival people at Hackney One Festival. The parade had a whole carnival vibe! Me and Hannah Holland play on top of this trailer and went pass Dalston Junction and Stoke Newington, lots of friends came and we had a little party on top of the truck!

My buddie LP came to London to do a few promotional gigs and also to play the Hard Rock festival, it was her first public gig in London and she rocked it! (obvz) then after we watched Paul Simon, celebrating the anniversary of his classic album Graceland.

M.I.A. contacted me to go on a little tour with her (scream) so what do you do if M.I.A asks you to come with her? you just drop anything that you’re doing and follow!!

I had the best time at Fusion this year, same as last year!! What it made it more special is that I had my buddies Uproot Andy, Jess Jubilee and Daniel Haaksman with me. We all played on the same night at different times so we all were the others hype men!
